The Fenton City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 647 which amends the solicitation and peddlers ordinance to comply with Michigan State law.
Door to Door Solicitation and Peddling is now allowed in the City and is licensed through the City Clerk's Office. If you wish to receive more information on soliciting or peddlling door to door, please contact City Hall and we will be happy to provide you with a copy of Ordinance No. 647, along with the fee schedule or view this information under the Public Notices tab. License applications are also available upon request.
The City of Fenton has a number of certified and bonded Notary Publics at City Hall, who are available to offer notary services at no charge for your convenience.
The City of Fenton is reviewing the present provisions of Business Licensing. Currently, licensing is required for business owners operating Pool Halls, Amusement Devices (i.e., arcade games), Dance Halls, Dog Kennels, Food establishments operating during the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am, Outdoor Gatherings (i.e., concerts), Pushcarts and Food Vendors, Sign Contractors, Taxi Cabs, and Tree Trimming, and operating a Pawn Shop or Precious Metals Dealer.
