Beautification Commission Liberty Tree Planting

Sunday, April 19, 2026

Please join the City of Fenton Beautification Commission as they kick off the Fenton Celebrates America 250 year of events with the planting and dedication of a Liberty Tree in Rackham Park. The event is April, 19th, 2026, starting at 2:00pm. The Fenton High School Ambassadors will be joining the dedication to sing our National Anthem, Grand Marshall of 2026 Freedom Festival, Doug Tebo, will be reading the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Sons of the American Revolution will be presenting the colors during the ceremony. Representatives from the Fenton Celebrates America 250 group will be in attendance to give the history of what a Liberty Tree stands for in America. At the conclusion of the dedication, 250 white pine saplings will be given away to attendees to plant as part of the Beautification's annual Arbor Day celebration. Tented seating will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. More information, along with a program of the event, will be available soon!
