The City of Fenton will be welcoming a new dining and entertainment venue in Winter of 2023-2024. The historic former Beanery and home of Red Fox Outfitters will once again be occupied. The Railyard, a concept by Justin Knight and Josh Ingersoll, was brought to the Planning Commission for review on April 27th, 2023. The iconic red building that sits just south of The Fenton Hotel at 234 N. Leroy Street was approved by the commissioners to become a unique, open entertainment venue with multiple food vendors, an arcade, indoor bar with a self-service tap, and many recreational games.
The Railyard will offer something for everyone on the three levels of their new home and even extends on to new patio space where repurposed railcars will be built to host several dining options from local restaurants and outdoor seating with entertainment. The Railyard is set to be a family friendly environment that encourages guests to move throughout the building to listen to dueling pianos, play a game of darts with friends, or test their strength with a round of axe throwing.
With the unanimous approval of the site plans and special use land permit from the Planning Commission, Ingersoll, owner of SERVPRO, and Knight, owner of The Corner Bar, will now begin the process of purchasing the building and making renovations to the space with the hope of having interior service available before the end of 2023. The outdoor area is anticipated to open in spring of 2024.
