Silver Lake Park
Silver Lake Park is the largest park in Fenton. It is 35.4 acres and was developed in 1974. It is located at 16100 Jennings Road off of Silver Parkway. It is a remarkably diverse park with activities to suit everyone. There are ball fields, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, 2 pavilions with electricity, badminton courts, play equipment for children, 300 feet of beach area with lifeguards, a bath house, concession stand, nature trails and picnic areas with grills. Silver Lake Ski Club holds performances on Tuesdays at 7 pm during the summer.
Summer Hours and Fees
The park is open year-round, but the beach is only open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Outside of this time, there are no fees to enter the park. Summer hours are generally 10 am to 9 pm daily and shall be closed after dark. During this time, the fees to enter the park are as follows:
Season Passes
- Resident: $20
- Non-resident: $30
- Walker/biker: $5
Daily Passes
- Car: $5
- Walker: $1
- Bus: $30
- Motor home/van: $10 plus $0.50 per passenger over 10 passengers
Pavilion Rental
The 2 pavilions are available for rental from the city offices. The fees are as follows:
- Resident: $35 rental fee plus $25 deposit, which is $60 total
- Non-resident: $75 rental fee plus $25 deposit, which is $100 total
- Non-profit: $15 rental plus $25 deposit, which is $40 total
Pet Policy
Dogs are not permitted in Silver Lake Park. Please visit any of our other parks with your pets. Also, you can take your dog to the Thompson Road Regional Dog Park on Thompson Road, just west of Fenton Road.
Park Reservations
To reserve this park, please complete the Reservation Request Form (PDF). Once you complete the request, please turn in both form and payment to City Hall. Reservations are not guaranteed until paid in full.
