2. CITY FENTON APPLICATION FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY

6. APPOINTMENT: The Local Development Finance Authority shall be under the supervision and control of a board consisting of the Mayor and eight members appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by the Council. One representative shall be appointed by the County Board of Commissioners and all tax capturing jurisdictions who capture more than 20 percent of the ad-valorem value for the district shall be represented.
8. PURPOSE: To provide for those public improvements necessary or desirable to facilitate, promote, and sustain industrial development within the established district of the Local Development Finance Authority of the City of Fenton. It is the LDFA’s challenge to create an environment that will promote economic development growth on properties located in the industrial district. Furthermore, the LDFA will serve as the primary instrument for developing land to augment appropriate industrial use.
