Parks and Recreation Board

  1. CITY FENTON APPLICATION FOR PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD
  2. MEETING DATES: 2nd Tuesday of each month
  3. APPOINTMENT: The Parks and Recreation Board shall consist of nine members, as follows: one member of the City Council, seven members who shall be residents of the City who are not members of the City Council or employees of the City, and one member who shall be recommended by the Board of Education of Fenton Area Public Schools. Appointment to the Parks and Recreation Board shall be made by the City Council and members appointed shall serve at the pleasure of the Council.
  4. PURPOSE: Long range planning for improving, maintaining, and supervising of parks and recreational facilities in the City, including the development of areas into park and other recreational facilities. Planning, organizing, and operation of cultural, athletic, and recreational activities in the City, and cooperation with other groups, and individuals in carrying out these activities.
